ASTD (American Society for Training & Development) is the world’s largest association dedicated to workplace learning and performance professionals. ASTD’s members come from more than 100 countries and connect locally in more than 130 U.S. chapters and with more than 30 international partners. Members work in thousands of organizations of all sizes, in government, as independent consultants, and suppliers. Started in 1943, in recent years ASTD has widened the profession’s focus to link learning and performance to individual and organizational results, and is a sought-after voice on critical public policy issues.
BVASTD (Brazos Valley Chapter of ASTD) received a charter as a chapter of ASTD in 1991 and is now one of eight chapters in the great state of Texas. Membership consists of private and public sector professionals and includes trainers, training directors, training managers, consultants, as well as university faculty and students. BVASTD has become a noted resource for networking, learning, and skill-building events for workplace learning and performance professionals in the Brazos Valley.
Whether you are a self-employed trainer or the Director of Human Resources for a multi-national corporation, we are here for you. Network with other top professionals in your field and get an insight into what other companies are doing when you attend our monthly luncheons and other social events.
